LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - The Mississippi Department of Transportation will begin a bridge improvement project on U.S. Highway 11 between I-59 Exit 93 and Don Curt Boulevard in Laurel.
Work began Thursday and included widening the bridge and making improvements to existing structure, according to a news release issued by MDOT.
There will be a two week period where the bridge will be closed, beginning Monday September 21. The official detour route will be posted along I-59 between Exit 93 and Exit 95C.
The $595,000 project was awarded to Key LLC.
