HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Hattiesburg police are looking for two black males involved in a shootout at a Broadway Drive business Wednesday night.

HPD Lt. Brandon McLemore said the incident happened around 11 p.m., and it was an attempted armed robbery. The store is a beer and tobacco store located at 1818 Broadway Drive.

A store employee who was outside when the two males approached the store said he revealed his gun when they walked to the store with their guns out. At that point, gunfire was exchanged for about two minutes before the men left, according to the employee.

McLemore said no one was injured, and he and the business confirm the store's surveillance cameras were not working.

The employee said one suspect was tall, and the other was short.

If you have any information on the suspects, call The Hattiesburg Police Department at 601-582-7867.
