HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Demolition work was done Saturday night at a historic Hattiesburg church after part of its roof collapsed.
A track-hoe was called in to tear down the north wall and other parts of the old Antioch Missionary Baptist Church after a section of roof caved in after dark.
The church, built in 1936, had not been occupied in three years.
The congregation built a new church across the street after they became concerned about structural issues at the old one.
