JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - This is a news release from the Jones County Sheriff's Department.
In early April 2015, a mother of a little boy received a call from the child's school that there was a problem. The child had knowledge, well beyond his age, of sexual matters. There was a suspicion of molestation and the suspect was Jerry Bustin, 62 of Laurel.
The child went through a forensic interview and it was then determined that a molestation had occurred; however, Bustin was released pending further investigation and Grand Jury action on the advice of the District Attorney's office.
The Grand Jury delivered a "True Bill," and Bustin will be arraigned on Sept.17 before Judge Dal Williamson.
