PETAL, MS (WDAM) -

Petal police are searching for two suspects involved in a Tuesday home invasion and shooting incident.

Officers responded to residential burglary in the area of Grays Crossroads and Springfield Road just after 3:30 p.m.

Petal Police Detective Craig Locke said the two suspects are dark skin, and light skin black males, who fled in a tan 1990s model Toyota 4 Runner with tinted windows.

“When they fled from the scene, they fired a shot, no one was hit or injured or anything like that,” said Locke. “It is unclear whether it was fired in the air or at anything at the scene, but it was about 100 yards from the residence,” said Locke.

Locke said three people were in the house when the incident happened but no one was injured.

Police could not go into detail about what, if anything was taken because of the ongoing investigation.

If you have any information about the incident, contact Petal Police at 601-544-5331, or Metro Crime Stoppers at 601-582-STOP.
