Sheriff: Tip from source halts meth delivery in Jones County

This is a news release from the Jones County Sheriff's Department 

On Sunday, a confidential source contacted Jones County Sheriff’s Deputies to inform them of a delivery of methamphetamine to a residence. 

A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle which Barry Moss, 47 of Ellisville, was traveling in. 

As deputies attempted to pull the vehicle over, they saw something being thrown from the passenger window. It was later found and was discovered to contained drug paraphernalia with a substantial amount of methamphetamine. 

Moss did pull the vehicle over and when questioned, admitted to deputies that he had more meth at his home. 

Moss was taken into custody. 

Later that day, deputies picked up Moss from the Jones County Adult Detention Center, he signed a consent to search for the meth and accompanied deputies to his residence where he lead them to where the substance was hidden. 

Moss was then transported back to the Center and turned over to correctional officers.

Moss is appearing at Jones County Justice Court at 2:30 on Monday, August 24, 2015, for his initial court appearance to charges of possession of controlled substance.
