Two in custody after Hattiesburg shooting

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Two people are behind bars in connection to a shooting at an apartment complex in the Hub City.

Tevin Steele, 23, of Beaumont was arrested in the 400 block of North 38th Avenue just after noon today.

"Steele was taken into custody without incident at the apartment complex and charged with two counts of aggravated assault," said Hattiesburg Police Department Lt. Jon Traxler.

A vehicle with a man and child were shot at and the vehicle was hit.

Rashaurd Quinn, 29, of Tylertown, was also arrested near the scene and charged with domestic violence-simple assault in connection with the shooting according to Traxler.

No one was injured in the shooting and the investigation is ongoing.
