Runoff candidates attend Forrest Lamar Republican Women's luncheon

The Forrest Lamar Republican Women met for a luncheon where they listened to runoff candidates speak. The Forrest Lamar Republican Women met for a luncheon where they listened to runoff candidates speak.
FORREST COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

Most of the area runoff candidates were in attendance at a luncheon today held by the Forrest Lamar Republican Women. 

Each candidate present got a chance to speak to the crowd of about 60 people. 

 "Our turnout today is really good, I think people are really interested in finding out the truth and what's going on because it's a real short time before we vote again." Member Jan Campbell said."Our next meeting is very important because State Secretary Delbert Hoseman will explain about the November ballot initiative  42 and 42a concerning public school funding."

The runoff election is next Tuesday, Aug. 25.
