Jeremy Palmer Jeremy Palmer
JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

This is a news release from the Jones County Sheriff's Department.

On Friday, just hours after the Jones County Sheriff’s Department asked the public for help in the search for Daniel Perry, 31 of Sandersville, a concerned citizen contacted investigators and provided information to his location.

Perry was wanted after he was found to be in possession of methamphetamines, but told authorities had had swallowed a large sum or narcotics and was transported to the hospital.

Perry left the hospital without consent or knowledge of staff.

Perry was found at a local convenience store, exactly where the anonymous tip lead authorities.

When deputies approached the vehicle, Perry was positively identified and taken into custody without incident.

Also in the vehicle were passenger, Ashton Bryant, 26 of Laurel, and driver, Jeremy Palmer, 31 of Petal.

Perry is charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent, he was out on bond at the time of his arrest.

Bryant and Palmer are both charged with hindering prosecution.

All three will appear before Judge David Lyons at Jones County Justice Court for their initial appearances on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 3:30pm.
