Shoplifting complaint leads to drug arrest

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - On Saturday, The Laurel Police Department arrested 25-year-old Lauren Montague for possession of approximately two grams of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia and shoplifting.

This was after the police responded to Wal-Mart on a shoplifting complaint.

Once the police arrived, Montague was taken into custody for shoplifting and then searched.

During the search, police recovered methamphetamine and paraphernalia from Montague.

The paraphernalia was a syringe and a spoon, which indicated Montague was injecting the methamphetamine.

Montague's bond was set at $20,000.
