LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - This is a news release from the Laurel Police Department
On Thursday at approximately 2:30 p.m. Officers of the Laurel Police Departments CID, Narcotics and SOT conducted a sting operation that resulted in the arrest of Eduardo Cooley.
Cooley faces one count of possession of a stolen firearm and one count of convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
The firearm, an M-1 carbine rifle, had been reported stolen in a burglary in Jasper County.
Cooley also faces a bond revocation hearing as he is out on bond for a felony charge from Jasper County.
SOT Officer Layne Bounds is the lead in the case.
