LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - The Salvation Army in Laurel invites the community for an evening of prayer.
The organization wants everyone to come together under one roof. The Community Prayer Day will begin 6 p.m. Tuesday inside the organization's church located at 129 N. 13th Avenue.
Organizer Veronica Fleeton said there are many reasons to pray for Laurel and those who live in the city.
"We are one body, we have one mission, we have one God and it's to love one another and come together in unity," Fleeton said.
The event will begin with an opening prayer by Jones County Sheriff Alex Hodge.
