Repeat bust for man in Ovett

This is a news release from Jones County Sheriff's Department

On Wednesday night, August 5, 2015, Jones County Sheriff’s Deputies were on patrol in Ovett and spotted a motorcycle parked behind a local business.  They observed a man, Jerry Wayne Graham, 48 of Ovett, looking around the closed business.  The deputies approached the man and he appeared to be sweating and nervous.  After questioning the man, a pat down for the officer’s safety was conducted.  A plastic bag of methamphetamine and a plastic bag of marijuana were found on Graham.

He was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Methamphetamine.  Graham was convicted in Jones County in 2011 for the sale of meth.  His initial appearance is Friday, August 7, 2015 at 2:30pm at Jones County Justice Court.
