Mozingo endorses Davis in runoff race

FORREST COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

Now that the primary elections are over, candidates are preparing for upcoming runoffs.

Two Republican candidates for the new Mississippi House District seat 87 will face each other on August 25th.

Hattiesburg businessman Mike Davis will face Carnes resident Chris Johnson.

Andy Mozingo was the third Republican candidate, and now endorsing Davis.

"I think you're a good man and that's exactly why I came here this morning because I would like to tell everyone that supported me, if they can, to support Mike," said Mozingo. "Please go out and support Mike Davis. I think he's a good man and think he's exactly the man for the job."

The winner of the runoff will face independent candidate Paul B. Johnson IV in the November general election.
