COLUMBIA, MS (WDAM) -

The names of two victims involved in a Columbia murder-suicide have been released.

According to Marion County Coroner Norma Williamson, Birdgette Martin, 44, and Kevin Graham, 49, both died from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

Columbia Police responded to a welfare call request at Northwood Villa Apartments on Barnes Street around 11 a.m. Sunday morning.

"Apparently the pair had been in a dating relationship. A family member came by and saw her vehicle was at the apartment and then asked for a welfare check from (Columbia Police)," Cooper said.

According to Police Chief Mike Cooper, the family member said Martin had been missing since Friday afternoon.

Cooper said a weapon was recovered at the scene, but they are not searching for a suspect at this time.

Marion County Sheriff's Department is assisting Columbia Police with the scene and investigation.
