Wayne County deputies on the hunt for burglary suspect

WAYNE COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

Wayne County deputies are seeking a man in connection to two burglaries that happened this month.

Earnest Dewayne Bunch is wanted by the Wayne County Sheriff's Department for two counts of burglary of a dwelling and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to investigators, Bunch and Crystal Hopkins are charged for the July 10 burglary of two camps on River Drive in the Chicora Community.

Hopkins was arrested Thursday morning at a residence on Jordan Sumrall Road. Deputies said Bunch fled on foot and was believed to be armed with a firearm.

Anyone with information on Bunchs' whereabouts should call 911 or 601-735-2323. Crime stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to Bunchs arrest.

    Southern Miss baseball will be missing four key contributors when the its season opens against Mississippi State on February 16. Hayden Roberts, Taylor Braley, Kirk McCarty and Dylan Burdeaux wrapped up their first minor league seasons in the fall. Roberts, a 34th round MLB draftee of the Colorado Rockies, struck out 45 batters in 21 games with the Grand Junction Rockies.
