HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Some area residents may have noticed more people in town during the last two weeks.
This weekend the Dixie Youth Baseball World Series is being held at the Larry Doleac Baseball complex at Tatum Park in Hattiesburg.
Coca-Cola Sales Center manager Russ Hendley says their vendors are stocking up for the event.
"It's so hot out there right now and we try to make sure that the ball park's taken care of. As parents and players move around town they need to restock and keep those kids hydrated they are looking for fun times and looking for things to go out and do. So, really all channels of our business are impacted by this event or these events that come to town," said Hendley.
Last week several thousand people were in attendance for the Cal Ripken Southwest Regional baseball tournament that was held at Optimist Park in Lamar County.
