HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

A woman is behind bars and charged with felony child neglect in connection to the death of a 3 week-old child in the Hub City.

The autopsy results that will determine the cause of death of a 3 week-old infant won't be known for several months.

Larry Breazeale was pronounced dead at Forrest General Hospital yesterday morning.

Coroner’s office officials say the results are pending a toxicology report which takes much longer than normal autopsy results.

Hattiesburg Police Lt. Detective Branden McLemore said authorities responded to the scene where the child lived at 815 Morton Street early Wednesday morning and began their investigation.

Amanda Hobson, 24, the child’s mother, was charged with one count of felony child neglect and booked into the Forrest County Jail.

McLemore said other charges are possible, but that is pending the ongoing investigation.
