HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Another Hattiesburg business has come forward to report a break-in after a recent rash of burglaries in town.
Sandra Moye, district manager at Money Now, said that early Friday morning, someone pried open a door and stole a safe containing $5,300 in cash, along with personal checks and titles.
She said she is frustrated by the break-in and by the police.
Moye told WDAM that the police officer said he arrived at the scene at 6 a.m.
"I feel like he did not arrive at 6 (a.m.) because we have a backup alarm system," Moye said. "If he would have got here at 6 o'clock, the people didn't actually enter the business until approximately 5:48 am because our cameras cutoff around that time. If the cop would have gotten here at 6 o'clock I feel like (he) would have caught the burglars."
Police have arrested 2 suspects in the other burglaries. But this break-in at Money Now has not yet been linked to those suspects.
