FORREST COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - A quick response time by Forrest County Volunteer firefighters saved an apartment complex Tuesday morning.
Around 9:30 a.m., firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire at the Grayson Apartments in the 2600 block of Glendale Ave.
When firefighters arrived they made entry into apartment 2B and began bringing out burning clothes.
The fire was under control within minutes.
"The fire appears to be accidental and started back in the bedroom," Forrest County Fire Coordinator Chip Brown said.
Forrest County EMA and Forrest County Sheriff's Deputies also responded to the fire.
No one was injured in the fire, and the damage which was minor was contained to the one apartment.
