Sloth Wars: Hattiesburg Zoo introduces Chewbacca the sloth

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

This is a news release from The Hattiesburg Zoo.

The Hattiesburg Zoo is excited to announce the arrival of the Zoo’s newest inhabitant, Chewbacca “Chewy” the Sloth.

To celebrate Chewy’s arrival, a Star Wars-themed premiere party will be held at the Zoo on Saturday, July 18. Sloth Wars will include a Jedi training course, special concession menu items, themed animal encounters, arts & crafts, a photo booth and more. All of the events will surround Chewy’s grand reveal, which will take place at 1 p.m.

Festivities will last from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and admission is $5 per person. For more information regarding tickets and Zoo programs, visit HattiesburgZoo.com.
