HHS holds their 4th summer commencement ceremony HHS holds their 4th summer commencement ceremony
HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Hattiesburg High School held it's summer commencement Friday afternoon before a crowd of family, friends and faculty.

The ceremony honored those few who had endured setbacks during the school year and therefore had to wait until all requirements were fulfilled in the summer session.

"We certainly want to make sure that our students have the completion of high school with the commencement exercise and all the pieces," James Bacchus Superintendent Hattiesburg Public Schools said. "We want to make sure that they understand that we value them and we want to provide every opportunity that we can for them to continue to move forward and be successful."

This is the 4th graduation ceremony HHS has hosted during the summer.
