COVINGTON COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - A Covington County man wanted by authorities for sexual battery is now behind bars and facing a $300,000 bond.
Jeffrey Ducksworth, 38, was arrested late Wednesday by authorities in Covington County and charged with two counts of sexual battery.
Ducksworth appeared in court today before judge Bobby Wayne Mooney for his initial appearance where his bond was set at $150,000 on each charge.
According to Covington County authorities, Ducksworth was wanted in connection to a sexual battery case involving a child under 14. Arrest warrants were issued in early July; however authorities were having trouble locating him.
Investigators said Ducksworth is a previous convicted felon, and he remains in custody in Covington County.
