A boil water notice has been issued for parts of Laurel. A boil water notice has been issued for parts of Laurel.
LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

A precautionary Boil Water Notice has been issued for parts of Laurel. 

The areas affected are as followed: 

E. 8th Street from Martin Luther King Blvd to Susie B. Ruffin Ave.

E. 9th Street from Martin Luther King Blvd to Susie B. Ruffin Ave.

E. 10th Street from Martin Luther King Blvd to Susie B. Ruffin Ave.

Kingston Street from Martin Luther King Blvd to Susie B. Ruffin Ave.

N. Joe Wheeler from Chantilly Street to Kingston Street

A contractor broke a water line, causing the notice to be issued. The number of houses and businesses affected at this time are 42.
