This is a news release from the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art.

     The Lauren Rogers Museum of Art will present a special artTalk on Wednesday, July 15 at noon in the LRMA Sanderson Gallery featuring cartoon and animation designer Tim Fielder.

 Fielder is an Illustrator, concept designer, cartoonist, animator, and creator of the comic book, Matty's Rocket. He is also the founder of Dieselfunk Studios, a company that specializes in comics, apps, book publishing and educational services.  He has worked over the years in the gaming, comics, and animation industries for clients such as Marvel Comics and Ubisoft Entertainment.     Fielder will give a hands-on computer graphics demonstration for children and adults in cartooning and animation. After his presentation, he will sign his comic books that will be available for sale.

artTalk is free and open to the public. Guests are invited to bring their lunch - desserts and beverages will be provided. 

About the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art

Lauren Rogers Museum of Art is a private, non-profit organization operating for the benefit of the public. The Museum is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Seventh Street in historic downtown Laurel. The galleries are open from 10:00 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.     WDAM has been in contact with Victor Kirksey's family following the officer involved shooting, Monday. Kirksey's family continues to be vocal following his take down on Lexington Drive. While they do not want to be on camera, they are telling WDAM Kirksey was taken to Forrest General Hospital with injuries after the exchange of gunfire during his capture.  Since that time, hospital officials and law enforcement are tight lipped about the suspect's current condition.
