HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

A new residential complex is well underway in the Ward 5 area of Hattiesburg.

Village at the Beverly is located in south Hattiesburg at the site of the old Beverly Drive-In.

The project is a development of the Gulf Coast Housing Partnership and will benefit the Palmers Crossing community by providing housing options for affordable living.

“We're always happy to have new housing development in Ward 5, and all of Hattiesburg, especially in areas where development is needed," said Henry Naylor, Hattiesburg city councilman.

Dale/McCarty Association is providing master planning and architectural services for this senior living mixed-use development. Seventy-six single and double bedroom units are planned for the site along with a business center, health care service area, large meeting room, large green space with a garden area and a walking trail.
