This is a news release from the Lamar County Extension office.

On Tuesday, July 21st, at 6:00 p.m., a pesticide applicator training class will be held at the Lamar County Extension Office in Purvis MS.  Pesticide applicator certification is a legal requirement for anyone using restricted-use pesticides in any situation or manner, and also for individuals who apply general-use pesticides in commercial situations and are required to be licensed in both state and federal regulations.  A $10 fee is charged for taking the exam.  If you would like to register for the class, please call the Lamar County Extension Office at 601-794-3910 prior to 5 p.m. on July 17th.  Please be prepared to pay with a check or money order.
