A USA Football player safety clinic was held at the Mize Attendance Center for several Pine Belt area football coaches, Sunday.
Master trainer Billy Elmore, instructed those in attendance on proper protocols involving concussion recognition, equipment regulations and a host of other football related safety issues.
"We've got to make the game safer. We're not trying to make the game softer, but we're trying to make it safer for all of our kids and that's something I think they'll take away from it," Elmore said.
He added "they can use these techniques and put them to work and again promote the safety of the game. We can't make anything completely safe, but if we can make it safer, that's well worth these guys Sunday."
The clinic is a part of the Heads Up Football program.
