According to a recent study done by HomeSnacks, The Magnolia State has some pretty desirable cities to put down roots. The website analyzed 70 most populous cities and collected data based on what people like or dislike about a place such low crime, solid education, great weather, things to do and a stable economy. The website's research also only considered cities with a population of more than 5,000.
The other criteria used was compiled data from FBI crime data, government census, Bureau of Labor Statistics and Sperling's Best Places:
-Lowest unemployment rates
-Adjusted median income (adjusted for the cost of living)
-Low housing vacancy rate
-Education (high expenditures per students and low student-teacher ratio)
-Short commute times
-The best weather
