HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Can you spot a drowning child?
According to the Center for Disease Control, about 10 people die everyday from an unintentional drowning. Of those 10, two to four are children.
With swimming being one of the most popular summer activities, it is important for parents to discuss pool safety with their kids before they dive into the water.
Although most pools and oceans are supervised by lifeguards, being able to identify signs of drowning is crucial for those situations where a lifeguard is not present.
