Davis Riley shoots three-over 73 in the first round of the U.S. Open

Hattiesburg native Davis Riley shot a score of 73 (+3) in the first round of the 115th U.S. Open at Chambers Bay tied for 79th place.
The former PCS Bobcat started off the round with a triple bogey on the first hole, but followed that up with four birdies and a bogey over the next eight holes to close the front nine with an even score of 35.
Over the next nine holes the future Alabama Crimson Tide golfer tallied three bogey's including back-to-back over par scores on the 12th and 13th holes.
Riley is the seventh place among 16 amateurs competing at the tournament.
