LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

The Lauren Rogers Museum of Art is offering family art classes this summer.

Each week the museum is offering a new art experience for adults and children. No reservations are needed for the make-and-take art program for the families. The classes are held every Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. during the month of June and are free.

“Our main objective is just to make the museum accessible and to let children in the community know that this is their museum, it's for them and the activities are free,” said curator of education Mandy Buchanan. “We just want people to feel welcomed.”

The next art class is June 24 and the last one is July 1.
