HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Hattiesburg's mayor will put up his fourth nominee for police chief Tuesday for a vote that could wrap up his empty slots for city directors.
Mayor Johnny DuPree nominated current Crystal Springs Chief of Police Anthony Parker for the top spot at the Hattiesburg Police Department.
According to Parker's resume, he has been with the Crystal Springs Police Department since 2009, where he started as a patrolman. Prior to his service there, he was a special agent and master sergeant for the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations for eight years and a state trooper with the Mississippi Highway Patrol for 19 years.
Parker is a 1979 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi.
