JEFFERSON DAVIS COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - Jefferson Davis County authorities have apprehended a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting death of a man at an apartment complex Monday night. Sheriff's Dept. investigator Maj. John Tolar said Eric Lott, a,k.a. "Hubcap," was wanted for allegedly gunning down Adrian Elly during an argument at the Palmetta Estates Apartments on Highway 42 around 10:30 p.m.
Elly was transported to Forrest General Hospital, where he later died.
A bystander, Willie Daggins, was shot in the leg and was also transported to the hospital. He's listed in good condition.
Investigators said Lott was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon, but did not release any other details.
