HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Saturday morning the Hattiesburg zoo hosted the first ever Festival South 5K race benefiting children from the Make-A-Wish foundation.
The event began at 9 a.m. and featured over 100 runners and walkers. Citizens from all different ages and backgrounds gathered for the good cause.
The race featured men, women and children, and even featured some people who ran in costumes.
It took almost an hour for everybody to cross the finish line, but family and friends watched and cheered as they did.
