PETAL, MS (WDAM) - Just when you thought lemonade stands were a thing of the past, two young Petal residents have set up shop.

Dillon Evans and Chris Byrd have decided to spend the summer before sixth grade selling lemonade in their neighborhood.

While one stands by the road with a sign to draw in thirsty customers, the other collects the money and pours the drinks. The entrepreneurs are offering regular and strawberry lemonade for $1.

The boys plan to save up their earnings and donate all proceeds to someone in need.

"We'll save up and then probably give it to a homeless person," said Evans.

They're also giving free cups of lemonade to law enforcement officers.

The lemonade may be cooling folks off but the kindness behind the boys' endeavor is certainly warming hearts.
