LUMBERTON, MS (WDAM) - The second suspect, Taji Ricardo McNair, turned himself in Saturday morning to authorities, according to Lumberton police. The suspect is being booked into the Lamar County Jail.

Tommy Dukes IV, 27, of Lumberton, was behind bars June 1 after he was treated at Forrest General Hospital for gun shot wounds and released. Lumberton Police then arrested Dukes.

According to Lumberton Police Chief Elsie Cowart, Dukes and McNair were involved in the Sunday night shooting at Green Tree Apartments.

According to Cowart, multiple people were shooting during the incident.

Investigators picked up multiple shell casings and projectiles that were logged in several vehicles in the parking lot.

Dukes was charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, malicious mischief and threats on police. Other charges could be added as the investigation is ongoing, according to Cowart.
