HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The gender pay gap in the United States still exists and has been stagnant for almost a decade, according to research done by the American Association University of Women.
In 2013, a study done by the American Community Survey discovered that women only earned 78 percent to the dollar to what men earned. The estimate of the pay gap was based on the annual average of median weekly earnings for the previous year, which was provided by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
