Showers and a few storms are moving northeastward across the Pine Belt this afternoon. Storms will bring frequent lightning and heavy rain but widespread severe weather is not expected at this point.
Similar to the past few days, activity should decrease after sunset and we're looking at a drier night. A few storms are possible through the night but the better chance for rain will come Sunday afternoon.
Expect a mix of sun and clouds for the first half of your Sunday before storms develop. Most folks will see at least a storm or two through the afternoon and evening and heavy rain seems to be the biggest threat yet again. Highs in the mid 80s.
Storms are likely Monday as a front moves through. Highs will remain in the mid/upper 80s through the upcoming work week. Rain chances decrease after Monday but true to the seasonal pattern, at least a few afternoon storms are likely through the week.
