Showers and storms are moving northward and increasing in coverage across the Pine Belt this afternoon. Locally heavy downpours and frequent lightning are associated with these storms so be extra careful while traveling! Storm activity is expected to decrease through the evening and we should have a mostly clear radar by later tonight. Lows in the upper 60s.
Saturday won't be a wash out but we're expecting scattered storms by the afternoon. A few folks may see some rain during the late morning hours but the majority of the thunderstorms will hold off until the afternoon and evening. Highs will reach the upper 80s.
Sunday will be similar with a slightly better chance for rain. We'll call it a 50-50 chance. We could be dealing with more heavy rain through Sunday evening so you can certainly skip watering the garden. Flooding doesn't appear to be a major concern at this point but you'll be the first to know if this changes!
Rain chances peak Monday as a front moves through but we've got a good chance for afternoon storms through the upcoming work week. Stay dry, folks!
