According to Forrest County Deputy Coroner Jonathan Nobles, the driver of the SUV involved in the wreck has been identified as Ashley Danielle Gomes, 32, of Greenwood.

On Tuesday, May 26th, Forrest County Deputy Coroner Lisa Klem identified the other two victims as John Simmons, 37, of Purvis, and Jennifer Holyfield, 40 of Hattiesburg.

The extended period of time it took to release the name, was due to positive identification from dental records from the state crime lab during the investigation.

He was treated by paramedics on scene, and his injuries were not life threatening.

According to emergency officials on scene, occupants in both vehicles were unable to escape from the wreck.

The cause of the wreck has not been determined at this time and is under investigation.
