LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - This is a news release from SCAR
Between May 18 and May 19, Southern Cross Animal Rescue seized more than 45 cats from a home inside the Laurel city limits.
The cats were found sick and covered in filth and fleas. Because some of the cats weren't spayed or neutered, they were reproducing, and SCAR found six litters of kittens on the property.
Almost all of the kittens are in need of vet care. The adult cats are scheduled to be spayed or neutered this week.SCAR is in need of foster homes for the kittens and cats.
Fosters would keep the kittens or cat until they are healthy and old enough to be adopted by families. All food and supplies are provided to the foster family.SCAR, a non-profit organization, is in need of financial help from supporters to pay for the veterinary care for these cats and kittens.
Those who would like to make a donation toward the care of the cats and kittens in this hoarding case can donate at the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, on paypal at https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr…or mail donations to SCAR, PO BOX 2007, Laurel MS 39442.
