Hattiesburg Arts Council call for artists :Open Studio on Front

HATTIESBURG, MS -  This is a news release from The Hattiesburg Arts Council

The Hattiesburg Arts Council (HAC) Open Studio on Front program invites artists from all five art disciplines to apply for a seven-week artist-in-studio opportunity.

Six artists will be chosen by committee to have access to a private 1000 square foot studio and window front gallery exhibition space at our Front Street location in downtown Hattiesburg. There will be one artist in the studio space for seven weeks at a time. Living accommodations are not included.


The postmarked deadline to apply is June 30, 2015

The artist will indicate in order of preference the set of weeks preferred:
August 1- September 19
September 26 - November 14
November 21 - January 9
January 16 - March 6
March 12 - April 30
May 7 - June 18

    Sports betting will be legal in casinos across Mississippi in 30 days. That's according to the state Gaming Commission, who voted Thursday morning to approve the change.
