Columbia hosts 3rd annual Governor's Day

COLUMBIA, MS (WDAM) - The City of Columbia hosted an event Saturday that paid tribute to past leaders of the State of Mississippi. It welcomed visitors to the annual Governor's Day.

It featured live music, food, activities for children, a farmer's market and a book emporium in the rotunda of the Marion County Courthouse.

It's the 3rd year for Governor's Day in the Magnolia State.

This year, it honored Hugh L. White, a former mayor of Columbia, who served two non-consecutive terms as governor of Mississippi in the 1930s and the 1950s.
