HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Hattiesburg Clinic made a large donation to a local non-profit organization Wednesday to help residents with disabilities.
The Arc of Southeast Mississippi, a Hub City based non-profit organization, received the check for $25,000 to assist in funding their Rise and Shine program.
The program provides recreational activities to residents suffering from intellectual and developmental disabilities after they exit the school system.
The money came from the clinic's fourth annual Rise & Shine Half-Marathon and 5k from April 4.
Over the past four years the annual event has raised $63,000 for the Arc foundation.
