Annual fundraiser to help women with addictions

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - The Dying to Live Ministries is selling tickets for its 4th Annual Golf Ball Drop.

Tickets cost $100 for each golf ball. On May 25, a fire truck will drop the golf balls onto the course at Dixie Golf Club in Laurel. The closest one to the hole will win up to $20,000.

This fundraiser helps women receive a six month treatment for their drug and alcohol addiction.

"We do what we can to supply everything that they need as far as clothing, food, room and board," said Pastor Jade Patrick. "The program in itself is helping them totally change their lives and if we can help these ladies become the mothers, and the daughters and the wives that God created them to be then we can revolutionize our community, our city, our state and it's so much bigger than just a golf ball drop."

To purchase a ticket for a golf ball call 601-342-0030. Only 1,000 golf balls will be sold.
