Forrest General Cancer Center offers FREE Skin Cancer Screenings

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

This is a news release from Forrest General Hospital.

On Wednesday, May 13 the Forrest General Cancer Center will be holding FREE Skin Cancer Screenings.

As a way to raise awareness of melanoma and other types of skin cancer and to encourage early detection through self-exams, the Forrest General Cancer Center will be offering screenings from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Cancer screening is a way for physicians to check for some forms of cancer in the body. Cancer screening is done when a person feels healthy. The goal of cancer screening is to find those cancers that can be detected as early as possible, before a person has symptoms.

Limited appointments are available. Call FGH OnCall at 1-800-844-4445 to register.
