What: Check presentation of $36,134 endowment disbursement to The Family YMCA

Where: YMCA – 3719 Veterans Memorial Drive, Hattiesburg, MS

When: April 28th, 2015

Time: 8:00 AM

Hattiesburg, MS – The Greater PineBelt Community Foundation will give a $36,134 payout to The Family YMCA on April 28th, 2015 as a part of an annual disbursement established by the Alex Katrishin Endowment Fund. Alex Katrishin found a home at a YMCA in his early years. Shortly before he died in 2000, he left the bulk of his estate to the Family YMCA of Southeast Mississippi in an endowed fund with The Greater PineBelt Community Foundation. The gift helps defray general operating expenses.

In attendance will be YMCA of Southeast Mississippi Board of Directors; David Fortenberry, President of the Greater PineBelt Community Foundation Board of Directors; and Theresa Erickson, Executive Director of the Greater PineBelt Community Foundation.

    Hattiesburg police are searching for a man wanted in a forgery-uttering case. HPD spokesman Ryan Moore said the man wrote a fraudulent check for a drink machine at a business in the 600 block of Campbell Loop Drive in Hattiesburg.
