After a chilly start, temperatures climbed quickly today and will likely peak in the mid/upper 70s. We've got another cool night ahead with lows in the low/mid 50s.
Wednesday will bring another dose of sunshine but things will start to deteriorate as we head into the evening hours. Thunderstorms are expected to move through the Pine Belt starting around dinnertime and lasting into the early morning hours of your Thursday.
Strong to severe storms are possible with the main threats including strong wind gusts and hail. Locally heavy rainfall could also pose a flooding risk and will be monitored closely. Tornadoes aren't completely out of the question either but are not the primary threat at this point. Storms are expected to continue into the overnight hours so make sure your weather radios are ready to go!
Storms remain in the forecast through the end of the work week.
