Laurel armed robbery suspect turns himself in

LAUREL, MS (WDAM) -

A Laurel man wanted for armed robbery turned himself in to police Sunday morning.

According to the Laurel Police Department, Darius Evans, 22, is connected to a robbery that happened April 16 in the North 5th Avenue area.

Evans is being charged with one count of armed robbery. He is currently in the Jones County jail and has a hold from the Mississippi Department of Corrections. 

Evans is scheduled to have his initial appearance Monday afternoon.
